For new students
How to make a resident permit?
When you arrive in China, you have exactly one month to apply for a residence permit. To complete the application, make sure you have the following documents prepared:
- Admission Letter
- JW202 Form
- Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors
- Receipt for China Visa Photograph
- Physical Examination Result

How to get insurance?
On the laptop
To store money and top up your Alipay or WeChat, you'll need to open a bank card.
The nearest bank to the International Campus is ICBC — that’s where you’ll open your card.

Tips 1:
Until you get your Resident Permit, most banks will refuse to open a card for you — they’ll say the process takes about a month. But when you extend your visa, come back immediately - it usually takes just one week.

In China, Russian students often face difficulties opening a bank account. Here are a few tips to help speed things up:
If you're not from Moscow, tell the bank staff that your city is near Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, or other nearby countries. The farther you are from Moscow, the more likely they’ll be open to helping you.

If you need to book the morning bus to campus, pay for water and electricity, or reserve a badminton court (or any other sports facility), you’ll need to use our university’s mini program in WeChat.
To book a bus, just follow these steps:
click the "Shuttle Bus Reservation"
Then tap the button 立即预约 (Book Now)
Then you need to choose where you’re departing from and where you’re going.
After that, select the time and get your ticket. When the bus arrives, simply show your QR code.

With it, you can enter the university, pay for meals in the cafeteria, and most importantly — use hot water and electricity in your dorm room.
